ETEL ADNAN

Galerie Lelong

Etel Adnan book, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Jean Frémon and Cole Swensen, is a voyage through the vibrant and imaginative works of the homonymous Lebanese-American poet, writer and visual artist, to whom Galerie Lelong dedicated several exhibitions.

Born in Beirut in 1925, Etel Adnan has always had a predominant interest in the pure beauty of colours, expressed with spontaneous creativity. A characteristic that perfectly emerges from the paintings in this volume, where the compositions look like unusually coloured abstract landscapes, as well as the unprecedented use of the visual communication components, typical of the artist.
