MUTINA

at Cersaie 2011

The stand curated by Patricia Urquiola was awarded the title of ‘Best Design Exhibit’ at Cersaie 2011. The space is divided into five containers, each dedicated to the designers behind the company’s collections. In the words of the designer herself: “The five separate containers can be moved and reassembled elsewhere. One perceives five different poetics that meet in a central space. We used the minimum possible material, only covering the plasterboard where absolutely necessary and leaving it on show where not essential. I sought the functional value of the spaces to make them as flexible as possible and at least partially reusable in the future, perhaps for another event by the same company. That was the central concept: reuse.
