The Mutina Journal is our online window on the world. The preferred venue through which we share everything that fires our passion for ceramics and more with our followers and everyone interested in learning about what goes on behind the scenes. We believe today more than ever it is important to be able to put forward a message that transcends the product, to communicate in a unique and across the board manner, to tell a story that is at once credible and captivating.

As we often say, our work is powered by the people that stand behind it and Milton Glaser’s motto “You can only work with people you like” is the unique element based on which we approach our daily duties. Mutina Journal aims to stand as a celebration of these values, a vehicle through which to transport you and give you a taste of what impassions us and makes us feel good.

This is the very first printed version of the Journal featuring a selection of interviews, places, collections. This first edition summarizes the major events that took place in the last months: the interview with Sarah Cosulich for “This is not a prize”, Mutina’s initiative in collaboration with Artissima 2016, won by the artist Giorgio Andreotta Calò, who was then selected for the Venice Bienalle 2017 Italian Pavillion; the interview with Pepi Marchetti Franchi, the director of the Gagosian Gallery in Rome; several of the Mutina collections starring in fabulous interior design projects around the world and, last but not least, a closer look at Numi, the first collection created by the German designer Konstantin Grcic.

We hope you enjoy reading it as we did putting it together!
