Weaving by Neri & Hu
The production of the collection is the result of Mutina’s know-how, combining artisanal ceramic expertise with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.
Uniqueness is shaped by form
Each element is produced using dedicated moulds specific to each format, ensuring maximum precision in the three-dimensional rendering of the surfaces. Manual extraction from each mould is carried out with artisanal care to preserve the integrity of the structure and the definition of the edges, whose slight irregularities make each piece unique.
The depth od color, living matter
At the heart of Weaving lies a chromatic research that begins with the material itself. Five noble clay bodies, colored throughout, give rise to vibrant surfaces, marked by a subtle tonal variation designed to convey naturalness and depth. Each element is then finished with a veil of transparent glaze that enhances its versatility, making it suitable for both flooring and wall applications. The palette is inspired by the transformations of bamboo over time—tones that evoke its slow process of maturation.
The collection
San Jiao Trio G
Weaving modules come in different shapes and sizes, which, when combined, allow for the creation of three different interlocking patterns, each inspired by a different craft technique: San Jiao (triangle), Si Fang (square) and Ba Leng (octagon). Each pattern establishes a specific rhythm of density and transparency, enabling architects and designers to construct diverse spatial narratives, from delicately textured surfaces to more assertive graphic compositions.
Si Fang
Weaving is available in a range of natural matte tones and multi-colour blends that evoke the characteristic shades of bamboo at different stages of maturation. Each pattern comes in five solid colors and a mix of two colors. The collection is suitable for both wall and floor installation, indoors and outdoors.

Neri&Hu
The Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, founded by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, joined the Mutina team in 2026. They designed the collection Weaving and the Editions collection Hé.
“Like a single strand of wicker, each element is a unit of potential. Only when interwoven with others does it transform into a cohesive surface.”
