From September 25th to 29th, Spazio Mutina came to life through a special setting, specifically conceived for The Magic of Colour, the event that celebrated ten years of collaboration with Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.
In addition to a series of ceramic displays that guided the visitors in the discovery of the collections designed by Barber and Osgerby, the spaces of the Headquarters housed the screening of the video project realised ad hoc for the occasion: ten short videos that retrace the relationship between Mutina and the designers through unpublished memories, anecdotes and suggestions.
During The Magic of Colour, the company presented a new edition of Mews, the historical collection designed by Barber and Osgerby and revealed for the first time in 2013, enriched with three new colours – Pink, Light Blue and Green –, Time, a new range of surfaces that explores the natural weathering processes of matter, and Rivington Tables, a new edition of small ceramic tables.
“The first encounter with Edward and Jay was one of a kind. We instantly knew that an open and uncomplicated relationship had been born. It’s like meeting someone you feel you have known forever.”
Massimo Orsini, CEO Mutina
