In 2015, OEO Studio designed the interiors of Copenhagen-based Kadeau restaurant. The multidisciplinary firm has recently revised the project and transformed the space by introducing new architectural elements and furniture, that enrich the environments and match the preexisting codes of expression in an harmonious way.
The colour palette draws inspiration from Danish landscapes and is characterised by warm, natural tones that give a welcoming and refined atmosphere. The walls have been painted with the shades Satin Coal, Matt Clay, Matt Olive, Matt Earth and Matt Iron from Accents Paints collection, developed by OEO Studio for Mutina, while the lounge features a wall decorated with the three-dimensional elements of Celosia by Patricia Urquiola.
With the renovated Kadeau, the designers enhanced the experience provided by the restaurant, placing emphasis on comfort and intimacy. Thus, OEO Studio has embedded a new vision, while remaining true to the original project.
“The original design was exactly what we had envisaged, yet as a designer there are always things you want to do slightly differently or even re-design if given the chance. When head chef Nicolai Nørregaard called, we thought now is the time to improve and create an even more extraordinary experience for the guests of Kadeau and create an even more charismatic and welcoming design.”
