Eight colours. Eight shades that express a vision.

The collection marks a new chapter in Mutina's journey, reaffirming colour as a fundamental element of its design identity. Its starting point is the company's historic colour palette: a heritage built over time, a true chromatic alphabet developed from a series of natural base tones, progressively expanded through a careful balance of the primary colours. From this universe emerge eight shades, selected and refined through an ongoing process of research.

Otto respects the environment and it doesn’t contain V.O.C.

The eight selected tones draw inspiration from the landscapes of Emilia and from the distinctive visual sensibility that Luigi Ghirri so masterfully captured through his gaze.

Ghirri’s chromatic language is defined by a soft, diffused light that tempers contrasts and brings to the fore the depth of the most subtle and understated nuances.

The eight colours–Latte L1, Perla P5, Nebbia N3, Salvia S7, Burro B4, Cipria C2, Terra T1, Acqua A4–created exclusively using ceramic pigments and glazes ground with water, without the use of digital printing.This process produces naturally pastel hues and lends the surface a refined, powdery finish, enhancing its tactile and material qualities.

The collection

Otto is made of glazed porcelain stoneware and comes in a single plank format, 15×90 cm, chosen to emphasise the relationship between proportion, rhythm and continuity. Each element is designed to create harmonious surfaces through both aligned and staggered layouts, enhancing the expressive power of colour through the repetition of the module.

The surface features a structure that flows across each plank and continue seamlessly from one element to the next, creating a fluid and continuous movement.

Otto is designed to engage seamlessly with the entire Mutina collection universe. Suitable for both floors and walls, in indoor and outdoor environments, Otto contains more than 20% recycled material.
