Successfully presented during Cersaie 2019, The Cylinder Glass is a new special project by Mutina in collaboration with Laboratorio Avallone, born out of a specific research focused on a new material, glass.
During the days of production, we shot a video and some pictures that show the behind the scenes of the refined glass-blowing technique, its charm and mysteries.
Designed by Gennaro Avallone, the vases are crafted in the furnaces of Murano by master glass-maker Fabiano Amadi, who blows, punctures and cuts the molten glass in line with the on-the-spot instructions provided by the designer. Thus, the contemporary aesthetic is added to by expert craftsmanship that allows to obtain always unique elements.

The Cylinder Glass is an exclusive project, characterized by a series of numbered collector’s elements that are produced in a limited edition of only 50 pieces each.
