When relationships become direction
Relationships have always been the starting point of Mutina’s journey. Through an ongoing dialogue with designers, artists, architects and partners, over more than twenty years the brand has developed a distinctive language that has helped redefine the way contemporary ceramics are conceived.
This vision gave rise to You Can Only Work With People You Like, the exclusive event that on Sunday, 20 September 2026, brought together some of Mutina’s most important international partners at Spazio Mutina.
The event was a talk moderated by design curator Marco Sammicheli, bringing together Massimo Orsini, founder and CEO of Mutina, and Faye Toogood, whose work marks one of the most significant collaborations of this new chapter.
Through an open conversation about the value of creative relationships, the design process and the role of material as a means of expression, the talk offered a privileged insight into the research that drives the work of Mutina and its authors.
During the evening, guests were given an exclusive preview of Otto, the new collection developed by Mutina, and Faces & Figures, the brand’s first collaboration with British designer Faye Toogood.
The experience culminated in an exclusive dinner conceived by chef Carlo Cracco. His cuisine entered into a natural dialogue with the Mutina universe through a shared set of fundamental values: respect for materials, research, a design-driven sensibility, and the ability to transform essential elements into an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
