Based in the vast and evocative Yarra Valley, this private residence had been entirely renovated by Chelsea Hing. The architect took inspiration, in first place, by the colours and flourishing nature of the surrounding landscape, which can be seen seen through the wide and luminous windows of the structure. Grey eucalypts, the green shades of grapevines and the terracotta blush of the soil helped to create a warm and natural palette that has been used to design the interiors, from surfaces to furniture.
Hing used Celosia and Tierras collections by Patricia Urquiola, that are characterised by earthy tones and give a contemporary twist to the environment, thanks to the combination of geometric and three-dimensional elements that create nice effects of light and shadow.
Not only the chromatic selection, but also natural materials and the light contributed to create a cosy and comfortable environment, able to convey authenticity.
