The award took place on the Grand Palais Balcon d’Honneur, accompanied by a speech of the jury, composed by personalities who share Mutina’s creative approach and innovative research, such as Ronan Bouroullec (designer), Sarah Cosulich (curator, Mutina for Art), Cristiano Raimondi (curator, Nouveau Musée National de Monaco) e Massimo Orsini (CEO Mutina):
“We believe that with Jochen Lempert we are awarding a ‘young’ prize because of the freshness and depth of his images, because of his capability of blurring boundaries between aesthetics and spontaneity, elegance and simplicity. His knowledgeable use of the photographic medium and his choice of presentation take the viewer into the world of nature in fluid dialogue with abstraction”.
This Is Not a Prize belongs to the Mutina for Art project, which includes Mut, the new exhibition space at Fiorano headquarters, and Dialogue, a program of collaborations with artists, galleries and international artistic institutions. In doing so, the company confirms its dedication in the world of contemporary art, in accordance with the stylistic choices that distinguish the brand since the very beginning.
