Nature Morte Vivante is the first exhibition about Patricia Urquiola’s work taking place in Madrid. Curated by Ana Domínguez Siemens, it will be presented on the occasion of Madrid Design Festival 2020.
The designer’s creations reveal a great interest for colour, building a creative path through different techniques and materials. Some of Urquiola’s most iconic designs, both for industrial and craft production, are set around five still-life paintings that explore the most recurrent topics in her work.
The exhibition develops through five pillars: “Cosas transparentes” collects a series of objects that have had a significant role in the designer’s career; “Viajes empáticos” links the idea of a project to its physical realisation; “Resistencias” is related to those projects that evokes some sort on tension; “Gender? What Gender?” explores the gender and its declinations; “Contaminaciones” reflects on the positive contaminations that come about from the creative process.
Nature Morte Vivante can be visited until March 1st at the cultural venue Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa.
