Placed right next to the Gallo-Roman Museum in Tongeren, Bistro Bacchus has been renovated by real. space agency. By combining ancient themes with a contemporary setting, the architects created a place where to immerse in a historical experience.
Taking inspiration from the archeological artifacts found in and around Tongeren, the environment has been designed in accordance to Gallo-Roman aesthetic, using terracotta bricks and a rusty colour palette.
The architects refined the interior by using Celosia collection by Patricia Urquiola. The three-dimensional elements have been applied along the walls as well as combined to build a series of round structures that enclose intimate seats, distributed all around the room.
